Waterloo Project Board is responsible for running Waterloo 's regeneration programme.
Awarded £19m through the London Development Agency's Single Regeneration Budget (SRB), Waterloo Project Board aims "to achieve the comprehensive regeneration of the area between Blackfriars Road, Lambeth Road and St George's Circus, creating a world class location at the heart of London delivering benefits to those who live in, work in and visit the area."
The board brings together the two local MPs and Councillors from Lambeth and Southwark, major landowners and community sector representatives.
Waterloo Project Board is responsible for determining its own strategy and directing its programme. South Bank Employers' Group then delivers this programme on the Board's behalf. SBEG is also responsible for delivering a number of projects funded by Waterloo Project Board, these include Jubilee Gardens, Improving Local Schools and South Bank News

The SRB programme ends in March 2007 and it is anticipated that the South Bank Partnership and its partners will then play a significant role in taking forward the work of Waterloo Project Board.
SBEG will be considering alternative approaches to Local Area Management and identifying sources of funding to ensure that the improvements to the public realm are managed and maintained properly.
Job Centre Plus, working with Waterloo Community Regeneration Trust, Coin Street Community Builders and the WPB Theme Champions (Shell International and Network Rail) will be working together to ensure that the benefits of the 'local jobs for local people, employment and skills strategy are maintained.
Finally, WPB is working closely with WCRT to look at options for ensuring that the community sector in Waterloo continues to be supported in the most appropriate way.
