About Us
Once mocked as ‘the wrong side of the river’, today’s South Bank is the cultural heart of London. Tourists from across the globe visit the area to enjoy London’s most iconic attractions and artistic venues. The South Bank neighbourhood is also home to multi-national companies, universities, the UK’s largest railway station and a fast growing residential population.
For over fifteen years, South Bank Employers’ Group has been at the centre of the area’s regeneration and continues to play a leading role in its transformation. The association brings together the major organisations in South Bank, Waterloo and Blackfriars to improve and promote the local neighbourhood for the benefit of employees, residents and visitors. By creating new jobs and opportunities for the residents of Lambeth and Southwark, we also ensure that the benefit of South Bank’s success is shared with the broader neighbourhood.
We have dedicated teams which are focused on public realm (capital projects, neighbourhood management and maintenance, security, environmental sustainability), destination marketing, and employment and skills.
South Bank Employers' Group organises and administers the South Bank Forum and produces South Bank News on behalf of the South Bank Partnership. The Forum is a community meeting held 3 times a year for residents of South Bank, Waterloo and Blackfrairs chaired by local MPs Kate Hoey (Vauxhall) and Simon Hughes (North Southwark & Bermondsey). South Bank News is a community publication produced three times a year keeping residents informed about important developments in the area, community meetings and activities and what to do and see.
We are committed to the South Bank Partnership Manifesto and Action Plan which sets a framework for the area’s development.
